Poetry is the way I connect and heal.

We all have so many stories living inside us, so many stories waiting to be told. Once I decided to share my truth with others, I realized how many of us are fighting the same fights. I hope my poems make you feel connected to yourself, to others, and to this beautiful universe.

My work focuses mainly on patriarchal traditions, mental health, and immigrant stories.

What Will People Say

Taniya’s debut collection of poems, inspired by not only her own life, but also the women in her family and millions of others trapped in patriarchal family structures.

Grappling with the subjects of sexual and psychological trauma, as well as mental health, this collection of poetry carves a path beyond the guilt of wondering what people might say.
